Subject to conditions
The pirogue, swimming, the flamingos and reaching the sand spit depend on the wind and the tide. In strong wind, we keep the fully land-based option — dunes, cave and Saint-Augustin.

The places on the route
The Andaboy dunes
On the track south, the tall white sand dunes: a stop, and for those who want it a sandboard descent or a quad tour with a local operator.
The Tropic of Capricorn
The marker for the line of the tropic, beside the track: a few minutes, the landmark and the view over the bush.
Table Mountain (Tsinjoriake)
Above Saint-Augustin, the limestone plateau of the Tsinjoriake protected area: a short climb to a 360° viewpoint over the Onilahy, the bay and the bush (the Andatabo circuit).
Sarodrano Cave
A freshwater spring surfacing at the edge of the lagoon, at the tip of the sand spit; clear water against white sand.

At the mouth of the Onilahy river, below tall white limestone cliffs — an anchorage known to European sailors from the 17th century. In the bay: the pirogue towards the pink flamingo flocks when they are there, and for those who want it a tandem paraglider flight above the cliffs, with a local operator, depending on the wind (indicative price €50 to €95 per person).
