The heat rises in the afternoon: the trails and the mangrove in the morning, the beach and the villages afterwards. The conservation sites sometimes need booking the day before.

A conservation centre (ASE association, SOPTOM support) for the radiated and spider tortoises, two critically endangered south-west species.

A private stretch of spiny forest: baobabs and Didiereaceae plants. “Reniala” means “mother of the forest”. You can come by zebu cart from Mangily, then walk beneath the tall baobabs.

- By car on the coastal road, on foot on the trails
- Where it starts
- Ifaty or Mangily, north of Toliara. A transfer from Toliara (≈ 45 min on the track) is added to the written confirmation; the route also works if you are already staying there.
